This is a draft privacy policy for the Hitched soft-launch beta on the Intracoastal Waterway. It will be replaced with a finalized policy before the full app launches.
What we collect
When you sign up for the beta we collect the details you give us: your name, phone number, email, and information about your boat, trailer, tow vehicle, and how you boat. If you scanned a helper’s code, we record which helper referred you.
How we use it
We use your information to provide on-site help during the beta, to contact you when the full app launches in your area, and to understand what boaters need so we can build the right service. We do not sell your personal information.
Who sees it
Your details are used by the Hitched team and the verified helper assisting you. We don’t broadcast your contact information. Service providers that help us run the service (for example, hosting and text-message delivery) process data on our behalf under confidentiality obligations.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete your information at any time by emailing hello@gethitchedapp.com. You can opt out of messages by replying STOP to any text.
